Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and Trista Cummings, trading as Hope Bridge ("Hope Bridge", "we", "us"), governing your use of the Hope Bridge platform (the "Service").

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating a workspace on Hope Bridge, you agree to these Terms. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.

2. The Service

Hope Bridge provides subscription software to help animal shelters, rescues, foster networks, and sanctuaries manage animals, volunteers, medical records, supplies, and adoptions. Features available to you depend on your subscription plan.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity in your workspace. You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access.

4. Merchant of Record

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Payment, billing, tax, cancellation and refund mechanics are governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms and Paddle's Refund Policy, together with our own Refund Policy.

5. Subscriptions and Billing

Paid plans are billed monthly in advance through Paddle. New workspaces receive a 7-day free trial; you will not be charged until the trial ends. After the trial, your payment method on file is charged the plan rate each month until you cancel. Prices are shown on our pricing page and may change with 30 days' notice.

6. Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time from the Billing page or via Paddle. Cancellation stops future renewals; your workspace remains active until the end of the current billing period.

7. Your Data

You retain ownership of all data you upload to Hope Bridge. We process it only to provide the Service. You can export your data at any time from your workspace.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the Service, including: unlawful use, fraud or spam, infringement of intellectual property, distributing malware, probing or scanning our systems, scraping, or attempting to disrupt or reverse-engineer the Service.

9. Intellectual Property

The Service, its software, documentation, and branding are and remain our property. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service in accordance with your plan.

10. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts for material breach of these Terms, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious policy violations. Upon termination, we will provide a reasonable window to export data before deletion.

11. Disclaimer

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, and we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Hope Bridge is a management tool and is not a substitute for professional veterinary, legal, or accounting advice.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or special damages.

13. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified in-app or by email at least 14 days in advance.
